Dairy Leaders of Tomorrow is a curriculum designed specifically to prepare high school students to work in the dairy industry. This program was developed with support from the Center for Dairy Excellence Foundation of Pennsylvania to provide dairy business and herd management courses to high school educators and students interested in a dairy production career. Coursework can be taught in the classroom or completed independently.
The DLT curriculum includes three courses:
- Introduction to Dairy
- Dairy Herd Management
- Dairy Business Management
Lesson plans and associated resources can be accessed online or downloaded once teachers complete the DLT registration. Certifications in both Dairy Herd Management and Dairy Business Management will be made available during the 2016-2017 academic year, with all certifications completed online.
Any costs associated with the DLT curriculum are generously offset through scholarships provided by Center for Dairy Excellence Foundation of Pennsylvania supporters. All content and associated resources of the Dairy Leaders of Tomorrow Program is copy written by the Center for Dairy Excellence Foundation of Pennsylvania.
